Pin
Requires Chippery Pro
Pin keeps important tool outputs in context so they don't get pruned away during long sessions.
Why Pin?
As your conversation grows, Chippery automatically prunes older content to manage context size. This is usually what you want—but sometimes you need to keep specific information available throughout the session.
Pin lets you mark tool outputs as important so they stay in context.
Commands
| Command | Description |
|---|---|
/pin | Pin the last tool output |
/pins | List all pinned items |
/unpin | Unpin a specific item |
/unpin-all | Remove all pins |
Usage
After running a command that produces output you want to keep:
/pinThis pins the most recent tool output (file read, grep result, etc.).
Viewing Pins
See what you've pinned:
/pinsWhen to Pin
Pin is useful when you need to reference something throughout a long session:
- API schemas or type definitions
- Configuration files
- Test outputs you're debugging
- Reference code you're using as a template
Unpinning
Remove a specific pin:
/unpinClear all pins at once:
/unpin-allHow It Works
Pinned items are protected from automatic pruning. They stay in your context until:
- You unpin them with
/unpinor/unpin-all - You start a new session
